Camp to return next year?
This year Music and Arts Camp took a break. What will happen next year?
What Does MandA Camp Look Like?
Thanks to Emily Perper, here are a few pictures displaying our adventures at Frostburg State University in July 2007:
The above photo is the dining hall: across the lawn from our dorm.
And above is a snapshot of our dorm. Boys on 2nd floor, Girls on the 3rd, counselors throughout.
Beth and Victoria as they walk from the drom to the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
And here is the building we all know and love: the PAC. We spent most of our time here. Worshipping in the recital hall, performing in the recital hall, singing in the hallways and choir rooms, acting and improvising in the rehearsal room, clowning and dancing and learning to choregraph liturgical dramas in the studio theatre, and frollicking in the hallways! The PAC is the place to be… and only water to drink. We made sure to keep the place neat and clean. The staff at FSU works hard to keep it up to par.
More Pictures?!!! Movies?!!
Word on the street (aka internet) is that you (music and arts campers) have pictures and movies that you (music and arts campers) would like to share (with music and arts campers and their families, friends, and enemies). If this (the assumption that you (music and arts campers) have pictures and movies (of camp (duhhh you have generic pictures (but I want to see camp pics)) is correct, then please send them to me. My email address is krkatsu@gmail.com (to be used for music and arts camp purposes primarily (do not send spam)).
Above: Emily stands outside our dorm. Notice the party in the background.
Lienna and Brittany all about peace.
Sarah and Holly just chillin’ with the Monday night crowd.
Beth is a senior, so we pray she loves college this fall!
This clock tower stands outside the Performing Arts Center… and boy is it helpful. It reminds us that 9:10 is an important time during the day. That’s why it likes to stay there…ALL THE TIME.
Kara (our string teacher), Liz, and others enjoy the echo circle…I think that’s what they’re doing.
Um…Kate and her green tongue.
Favorite Part of camp
My favorite part of camp was the time I spent just chillin’ with the campers. Lunch times, late at night in the quad eating marshmellows (strawberry flavored), and walking to and from the Performing Arts Center.
What was one of your favorite memories?

It’s over…for now
Music and Arts Camp came to a close on Saturday afternoon after a tremendously awesome performance of 50 talented middle and high school students. Singing, acting, dancing, playing instruments, and more singing. I was blown away. Let’s record that performance next year. I’d like to watch it over and over again.
If you have pictures from the week, post a comment and let us know your website or facebook page or something that will lead us to your pictures. Keep in touch until next year! July 6-12, 2008.
Friday of Camp
Today is Friday, day 6 of camp. We arrived on Sunday, checked into Cambridge Hall, unpacked our bags, set up our beds, and met our fellow campers. There were 50 of us this year, a welcoming number to help us feel at home and welcomed.
Now it’s Friday and we know each other much better. We’ve been singing a lot and we’re tired!! We’re practicing for our performances today: Lots of singing with the camp choir, a lot of acting in theatre classes, and more singing. The multimedia class will edit their film today, the arts and crafts class will finish their drawings, and the improv class will perform for us during dinner. That should be pretty fun. I’ll take lots of pictures so we can display the good times.
Yesterday was the talent show, which was AWESOME!!
